Habitat: A variety of still waters. It does seem to prefer more dense vegetation, even drier sites than L. sponsa. In dune lakes, reedy shallows and small meadow ponds.
Distribution: Most abundant in the eastern part of The Netherlands.
Flight season: From June to half Augustus
Status: Not endangered
