Habitat: Mesothropic pools, also found in oxbows and fishponds, mostly in forested setting

Distribution: Since 1970 a male and one female, probably wanderers,  were observed in a well vegetated pool in the most southern part of The Netherlands in 2006. 

Flight Season:  June and July.

Status: Very rare in Europe. Extinct since 1970 in The Netherlands and probably always rare.
