Habitat: Standing eutrophic waters with emergents like algal mats, hornworts (Ceratophyllum) and opther plants.

Distribution: Formerly (< 1960) absent in the north of the country. Now increasing 

Flight season: June to the end of October. Highest numbers in July and August

Status: Common species.
