Habitat: Abundant in fenlands but also on mesothrophic lakes and in the dunes.
Distribution: In Fenlandareas like de Vechtstreek and North West Overijssel most abundant
Flight season: Earliest Anisoptera with highest numbers in May and June
Status: Common species after a period of decline now stable
