Habitat: Less acidic and poor nutrientpoor like the other Leucorrhinia species dubia and rubicunda. Clear waters in peatbogs, forest lakes, marshy ditches with lush and varied with emergent and submerged plants.Sometimes in mesothropic waters in coastal dunes.
Distribution: In the north of the province Overijssel there are large and stable populations. In other parts in The Netherlands wanderers can be seen everywhere.
Flight Season: Highest numbers in June but can be seen from May to the end of July.
Status: Fairly rare and declining. Red Listed as endangered.
