Habitat: Mesothropic and Hyperthrophic waters are favourite. Also at peatbogs and non-permanents waters.
Distribution: Realitively scarce in the coastal dunes.
Flight Season: From June to November. Most abundant in June to Oktober.
Status: The most abundant of all Sympetrums. and very common in The Netherlands.
